Every PrecisionAir unit is 100% tested before it ships. Then it bolts into the same opening your existing unit came out of.
Dantherm PrecisionAir WS (Wide Series) and SL (Slim Line) are wall-mount HVAC systems and heat pumps engineered as bolt-on replacements for the most common wall-mount footprints — backed by an ISO 9001, UL, ETL, and LEAN-certified manufacturing process that tests 100% of units off the production line before shipment.
Replacing a wall-mount HVAC unit in a critical environment creates two problems that rarely get discussed together.
The first is fit. Most replacement units don't match the footprint of the outgoing unit — so contractors face structural modifications, new wall penetrations, and labor costs that can exceed the cost of the unit itself. Sourcing the original manufacturer's replacement means long lead times, discontinued models, or designs that simply don't fit the existing opening.
The second is quality. Standard commercial HVAC equipment is sample-tested off the production line — meaning most units ship without individual verification. In a server room, telecom shelter, or electrical equipment room, a unit that arrives DOA or fails early isn't an inconvenience. It's a critical environment without climate control until the problem is diagnosed, a replacement is sourced, and a technician gets back on site.
PrecisionAir WS and SL were engineered to solve both. They are dimensioned to match the most common wall-mount HVAC footprints — existing penetrations, mounting structures, and electrical connections are typically reusable. And every unit is 100% tested off the production line before it ships, so what arrives on site has already been verified to perform.
Footprint Mismatch
Most replacement units require structural modifications, new wall penetrations, and labor costs that can exceed the cost of the unit itself.
Long Lead Times
Sourcing the original manufacturer's replacement means discontinued models, long lead times, or designs that don't fit the existing opening.
Sample-Only Testing
Standard commercial HVAC is sample-tested off the line — most units ship without individual verification before reaching the field.
Critical Environment at Risk
A unit that arrives DOA or fails early means no climate control until the problem is diagnosed, a replacement sourced, and a technician back on site.
Most manufacturers test a sample. Dantherm tests every single unit.
Most HVAC manufacturers test a statistical sample of production units. Dantherm tests every single unit before it leaves the facility.
That's not a marketing claim — it reflects how Dantherm's manufacturing process is structured and what it's certified to. Their in-house engineering lab holds UL certification for materials, products, testing procedures, and documentation. ISO 9001:2015 certification covers the full manufacturing and business process. ETL Mark from InterTek confirms compliance with all published North American safety standards as accepted by Authorities Having Jurisdiction across the US and Canada.
Engineering teams test to exceed — not just meet — UL, Telcordia GR, and ASHRAE standards before any unit is released. LEAN manufacturing professionals on the production team include a Master Black Belt, a Black Belt, and a Green Belt.
100% off-the-line testing means the specific unit installed at your facility was verified before it shipped. In a server room, telecom shelter, or electrical equipment room, that matters.
Which One Fits Your Opening?
Both series are engineered as bolt-on replacements. The right choice depends on your wall opening dimensions and installation constraints.

PrecisionAir WS — Wide Series
The standard replacement for full-width wall-mount HVAC units. Available in 2 to 5 ton capacities, suitable for spaces up to 2,000 sq ft. Cooling-only and heat pump configurations. Multiple WS units communicate with each other via WSC controls for lead-lag or N+1 redundancy. Optional ACG-7 controller for remote monitoring and setpoint adjustment.
WS Series Configurations — All 230V Single Phase
Standard cooling-only configuration. Full capacity on/off operation.
Includes the RCCD Capacity Control Valve. Continuously modulates cooling capacity — extending run times, improving humidity control, and delivering approximately 2.5x the moisture removal of a standard unit. Nearly identical net cooling effect to competing units with hot gas reheat, without the added mechanical complexity.
TPI recommends this configuration for most applications where humidity control matters.
Full inverter-driven variable capacity for applications requiring the widest modulation range.
Reversible refrigerant cycle provides both cooling and heating from a single wall-mount unit. Available across the full WS capacity range. Eliminates the need for separate heating equipment in applications with moderate heating loads.
Strip heat is standard on all WS units. A no-heat kit is available if strip heat is not required.

Dashes indicate specs to be confirmed. All WS units are 230V single phase. Strip heat standard on all units; no-heat kit available. Contact TPI for full configuration options and pricing. For full specifications refer to the resource library.
Dehumidification Done Differently.
Dehumidification is one of the most common performance gaps in wall-mount HVAC. Standard units cycle on at full capacity, remove some moisture, then shut off — never running long enough to adequately control humidity.
The traditional fix is hot gas reheat: a dedicated circuit that reheats supply air to extend dehumidification run time. It works, but it adds mechanical complexity, increases installation cost, and requires a specific sequence of operation to manage correctly.
Dantherm PrecisionAir addresses dehumidification differently — through the Multi-Stage configuration, which integrates the RCCD Capacity Control Valve directly into the unit.
Extended run times and continuous load matching eliminate the need for dedicated dehumidification cycles in most applications. Simpler system. Better humidity control. No additional equipment.
The Multi-Stage configuration extends run times and matches capacity to actual building demand — keeping the system in dehumidifying mode longer, naturally. The result is approximately 2.5x the moisture removal of a standard single-stage unit.
The net cooling effect is comparable to a unit equipped with hot gas reheat — without the added components, without dedicated dehumidification sequences, and without manual intervention. The system operates automatically.
A 5-ton Multi-Stage unit effectively behaves like a 2-to-5-ton system depending on real-time building demand — matching capacity to load automatically across a continuous range rather than stepping between fixed stages.
What's Inside PrecisionAir
Every component is selected for continuous-duty performance in mission-critical environments — not cost-minimized for commercial HVAC applications.
BCI Fan Technology
Backwards Curved Centrifugal Impeller fans deliver more airflow per watt than standard HVAC fan designs. Higher efficiency, lower operating cost, quieter output at 60–70 dB in standard configuration.
Micro-Channel Coils
Advanced heat transfer geometry in a compact form. Higher efficiency than tube-and-fin, lower refrigerant charge, lighter weight.
Closed-Loop Design
Supply air is conditioned inside the thermal envelope and returned to the space without drawing in outside contaminants. Appropriate for sensitive environments where interior air quality matters.
High-Performance Compressors
Specification-grade compressors selected for reliability in continuous operation.
ACG-7 Controller
Precision closed-loop temperature control with remote access. Data logging via SD card supports field diagnostics and trend analysis.
N+1 and Lead-Lag
Multiple WS or SL units communicate with each other to support redundancy configurations critical for mission-critical spaces.
Certified. Verified. Documented.
Every certification reflects a manufacturing process and testing standard — not just a label on the box.
